Day 1


Good morning, East High School... Be respectful, be dependable, be prepared, and remember, it is a great day to be a Red Devil. These are your morning announcements. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. 


I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.


Dodge, duck, dip, dive and Dodge- You heard it right....the next student engagement event will be Dodgeball on Tuesday March 12th starting at 6:00PM. Get your team of 4 boys and 4 girls together for this fun event. The teams can be mixed grade levels. All students must be academically eligible to play and must be in good standing with your attendance. Forms are in the main office and are due by Friday March 8th at 3:00PM. Due to events at Buff Puff, no spectators will be allowed into the event, only team members. 

 

Attention students and staff- The Physics students will be hosting a fundraiser at Red Robin on Thursday, March 7. Show this flyer or mention the Green Bay East Fundraiser to help us earn 20% of the profits. Can't make it in? This even applies to orders made online! Don't forget the Red Robin fundraiser this Thursday.

 

Attention Juniors! Would you like to get a little more math cram for the ACT? After School Math Lab will be open today and Thursday, March 6 and 7, with a couple of tips and tricks as well as many practice problems. No need to sign up, just come on into Room 108 after school until 4:15 pm!

 

Kaboom Orchestra students-we are rehearsing today, right after school, in the music wing. Bring your binders & new schedule with you.

 

Attention all boys interested in golfing for the East High Boys Golf Team this year. Please sign up online by the end of this week. Golf will start March 25th. Again any gentlemen interested in golfing this spring, please sign up online on the East High School Athletic website. Please see AD Ms. Mathu with any questions. 

 

Finals season is over! Start off your trimester right by supporting East High's Envirothon team. Today during both lunches, right outside the cafeteria, members of the team will be hosting a bake sale! We will be selling cookies, brownies, and other sweet treats. See you there!

 

The SELF Program aims to help kids from difficult situations learn vital life skills, provide essential resources to their families, and have a comfortable safe environment to help them thrive! Currently they are working on improving their art room to encourage creativity amongst kids. To support this endeavor, East High is one of many places hosting an art supply drive! The SELF Program's art supply drive will be going from March 11-15. Be sure to come down to the main office next week to donate any art supplies!

 

West/East Girls Softball begins Monday, March 11. If you are interested in joining for the season, email Coach Guenther at [email protected]. Athletes wanting to play: make sure both your registration and physicals are turned in before March 11. You will not be able to practice until both forms are turned in. NOLA Trip Meeting:Attention music students going on the New Orleans music trip! There will be a mandatory meeting this Thursday. It will start at 8:30am and run until the end of advisory. A list of students attending is being sent to all East staff.

 

Hey! Have you ever wanted to smash a tennis ball onto the roof of the school? Then maybe boys tennis is the team for you! We will be meeting next Wednesday, March 13, right after school for a short meeting in room 107. If you have any questions, ask Coach Calo or Coach Dickey. We have all the equipment you would need to play, so come on Wednesday and at least check it out!


Students for Social Justice and Diversity is offering an activity this week before and after school. This Friday, March 8th, is International Women's Day.  This is a day to commemorate women's contribution to society and to raise awareness of the areas in society that need to improve to reach gender equality.  It is traditional all over the world to give flowers on this day.  If you would like to honor a woman who has made an impact in your life, stop by room 147 before or after school to make her a beautiful flower that shows your appreciation.  


Library: Tomorrow, the library will be hosting its 12th Annual Game Night from 3:15-4:15 in the library. There will be great games, fabulous prizes, and friendly competition. Everyone is invited.

 

Attention Seniors: Please check your emails for the Senior Superlatives. You have until March 22 to complete.
