Dear Friends of East High Athletics,
At one time you were touched by East High School's athletics. Whether it was as an athlete yourself, a son/daughter, grandchild, niece/nephew or someone special, you had the opportunity to be part of the tradition of Green Bay East High School Red Devil Athletics.
Green Bay East still holds on to a proud tradition for its athletics programs, and its student athletes, that began with East High School in 1924. In 2005 East celebrated the longest high school rivalry in the entire USA with the 100th anniversary meeting of Green Bay East and Green Bay West high school football teams. That's some history!!
Athletics continues to be a large part of East High School. Our student athletes demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship and competition along with academic scholarship that make our school proud and respected. Our athletes carry Red Devil Spirit to other schools. They rekindle that spirit in our alumni. They never forget what that spirit means even as they travel beyond their high school years.
Red Devil Spirit started the Booster Club organization at East High which has also enjoyed a long and supportive tradition. In 2007 a newly reorganized and spirited Booster Club sold concessions for all East High home field and court events. Parents, students, coaches and teachers volunteered their time to help sell concessions and at year's end, almost $15,000 profit from concessions sales was given back to East Athletics to purchase new equipment for our baseball, softball, football, golf, track & field, and dance teams!-that was all it took-volunteers showing pride and spirit!
Booster Club would like to introduce RED DEVIL ADVOCATES, an endowment program that will generate funds to invest in future East High Athletics. Red Devils Advocates will solicit funds through a yearly membership drive to grow financial support for East for the next 100 years. Currently, District funding for athletics does not keep pace with individual school's need. Concessions profits only provide a small amount to teams needs too. So, we ask for your help today to meet the challenge of continuing the tradition of East High athletics with our endowment.
