EHS Booster Club Mission Statement

The MISSION of the East High School Booster Club is to financially and socially support all athletic activities in the school by working cooperatively with the parents, students, coaches and staff.

What is the Difference Between Booster Club and Parent Network?

Parent Network Booster Club
Purpose To support social activities at East such as the post-prom party, post-graduation party, school dances, fan buses, AND to support the Music/Drama parent group To financially support all East athletics; the booster club also sponsors the annual dodge ball tournament
Who should attend the meetings? Any parent interested in supporting and/or helping with the above-mentioned activities Any parent with a child involved in sports or anyone interested in supporting East athletics
Who else attends the meetings? Mrs. Frerk gives a principal’s report at each meeting. This is a great way to get to know her, ask questions, and find out what’s new at East High School. It’s also a nice way to get to know other East High parents. The activities director will attend the meetings, along with coaches or advisors as needed. It’s a chance to ask questions regarding athletics and also to get to know coaches and other East High parents.
Can I be a part of both groups? Absolutely! Absolutely!
When are the meetings? The first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria The first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria

Concessions

East High Concessions - are the #1 way that Booster Club generates funds for East Athletics and shows our hospitality to visiting teams. We ask that every parent of an East Athlete please sign up to work an East home game concession stand.

Concessions proceeds go into the booster club account and are then distributed to all of our teams based on requests/needs, not just to the teams who happen to have concession stands open during their events. This year teams will be assigned to staff a concession stand during their off season. Parent representatives for each sport will be calling the other parents from their respective team to work during their assigned shifts. In general, spring sports will be staffing the fall season, fall sports will be staffing the winter season, and winter sports will be staffing the spring season. This should spread out the work of concessions without putting any undue burden on just a few people. Plus, it's fun to work with parents you see frequently on the bleachers!
