On June 5, 2025, East High School held an end of year event. The event celebrated the school year’s successes while intentionally including incoming 8th graders and their families to begin building relationships before high school starts with its current East family. The picnic was held in Joannes Park and included live music, an inflatable obstacle course, pizza and cookies, and so much more!

This was the second large event held by East High School administration to reflect its commitment to building strong relationships among students, families, staff, and the greater East community. These two events were designed to remove barriers, foster trust, celebrate success, and create opportunities for students both in and beyond the classroom. The events were supported by active involvement from students, staff, families, and community members. The student-led Red Devil Pride Advisory Group and staff played a key role in planning.

The GBAPS Education Foundation provided a grant for $2,000 to partially fund the East events.
