East's Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) meets on Thursday at 3:15.  GSA is open to any East students who identify as LGBTQIA+ or allies.  If you would like to check it out, please email Ms. Wetzel ([email protected]) or Mrs. Amschler ([email protected]) for the meeting link.

Attention Juniors: Do you want to gain valuable career experience during your senior year? Do you want to earn high school credits while working in a challenging job? Would you like to get PAID while you’re learning??? Then you should sign up for the Senior Business Internship program!  The ideal candidate would be an outgoing individual who wants to earn high school credit, gain real-world work experience and get paid for working at a challenging job during their senior year.  Do you think that you have what it takes?  Then email Mr. Christy at [email protected] for more information.  Space is limited to the first 15 qualified applicants so if you’re interested you need to see Mr. Christy ASAP.

 

East Musical Online!: East High Presents: Leader of the Pack: the Ellie Greenwich Musical.   Students, teachers, and staff - you are invited to attend the virtual musical production, opening this week Thursday, December 10th at 7:00 PM.  The show is a look at singer/songwriter Ellie Greenwich, who had tons of hit songs in the 1960-80's and her career made a big impact on music today.  Tunes include  “Chapel of Love,” “Da Doo Ron Ron,” ” Do Wah Diddy Diddy,” “Then He Kissed Me,” and, of course, the title song, “Leader of the Pack." This exciting, Broadway hit show is completely virtual, telling Ellie’s story.  The show runs December 10th-16th, and tickets available at www.showtix4u.com. Hope you can see the show!

 

Attention all East Students: The second Red Devil RandomTrivia Contest is scheduled for Friday, December 18th at 3:30 PM. You do not need to be a genius for this as it is totally random. This one will have a section on various movies of the season. We once again will have prizes to give away! Sign up at the link provided here by Wednesday December 16th.  Hope to see you there. A Zoom link will be shared with you and you can enter at 3:15PM that day. 

 

Attention East staff and students: The Green Bay East Student Council will be having a drive by canned food drive for the Eats for East Pantry. Please consider donating to help some of the families at East that are struggling. The drop off days are December 16 and 17 from 3-5PM in front of school. The pantry will accept any non-perishable donation but really need certain items. Please refer to the list in the announcements

Starting on Monday, the student council will be sponsoring the 8 days of dress up leading to winter break. Just like last time, check in with your Home base teacher to be entered to win prizes. The dress up days will be shared with Home base teachers to post.

 

Attention all students interested in the Healthcare Field! HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) will be having our next meeting next Tuesday, December 15th at 3:15.  Also, it is not too late to join!
