East's Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) meets on Thursday at 3:15.  GSA is open to any East students who identify as LGBTQIA+ or allies.  If you would like to check it out, please email Ms. Wetzel ([email protected]) or Mrs. Amschler ([email protected]) for the meeting link.


Your Green Bay East FFA is hosting an IN-PERSON meeting on Wednesday, January 6 @ 3:00 pm.  We have district permission for lift-off & we are flying with it!  If you ask, "What is this FFA," it's a leadership organization that sharpens students’ critical thinking and inquiry learning skills in Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources.  Agenda includes community service possibilities for 2021, possible speaking & career competitions in Spring, & programming brainstorming.  Physical space is limited so reserve your spot with this link: bit.ly/FFA-RSVP Again: FFA meeting, Wednesday, January 6 @ 3 pm., must reserve through link!


Senior Pictures: Seniors this is a reminder that you need to submit your senior pictures to Ms. Altman by January 29th.  Please email them to her at [email protected]

Material Pickup/Technology Help: Every Wednesday from 10 AM-5 PM, you can stop at the main entrance of East High to pick up materials or get technology help. If you haven't picked up your Tri 2 materials, please plan on stopping at East today.  


Library: Have you read anything good lately? Did you know that some of your fellow Red Devil Readers have written book reviews on Beanstack? Beanstack is a reading log app on Launchpad. You can also download it on your phone! Keep track of what you're reading in 2021 and share your favorite books with a Beanstack review. The following students won gift cards, books, and chocolate for participating in the Read Grateful Challenge: Rowan Clark, Sara Gomez, Olivia Waubanascum  

How can you be part of our WinterRead2021 challenge? How will you challenge yourself to read more this year? Log your reading time and write a book review in Beanstack. For every book review you write, your name is entered in the East High WinterRead2021 Reading Challenge. The winner receives a gift package including a copy of Angie Thomas' new book Concrete Rose.

 

Language Arts Academic Team: While the big Academic Team competition at UWGB will not take place this year, the Language Arts Academic Team will still compete in April against the other Green Bay high schools.  Anyone interested in joining our team should attend our next meeting Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 3:05 p.m.  Contact Mrs. Carlson ([email protected]) for information and the meeting link.
