Seniors: This is a reminder that Mr. Brick will be here on Wednesday, May 12th for cap and gown distribution from 10:30-1. If you can not make it on Wednesday he will be here on Thursday, May 13th from 10:30-12. Please make sure to come on one of these days to get your cap and gown.

GSA will meet both virtually and in-person in Room 301 today after school!  If you have not been to a meeting yet this year and would like the Zoom link, please email Mrs. Amschler or Ms. Wetzel.  All students are welcome to attend, regardless of identity.

Culver’s Scoops of Thanks: TODAY at Culver’s restaurants they will be serving $1 scoops of frozen custard!  Money raised will be donated back to your Green Bay East FFA program.  Dine in or drive up to any Green Bay Culver’s from 10 am until 10 pm TODAY.  Support never tasted so sweet!

Nothing fishy here!  Your Green Bay East FFA invites both students & staff to come to help fillet this year’s fish.  We start slicing on Wednesday, May 19, @ 3 pm.  Depending on the quality & quantities of the cuts, we hope to package these up, freeze, & donate a portion of the meat to a local food shelf, though we’ll have some for snack after all is cleaned up!  Physical space is limited, so reserve your spot with this link: http://bit.ly/eastfillet  Student permission form is linked on RSVP page or printed copies are in Mr. “Mark-cart”s room, 153.  Again: fish filleting, May 19 after school, must reserve through link!

Boys Track & Field: Any Boys in Fall Sports or those of you that are still dragging your feet to come out for Track & Field need to be at practice Monday after school or talk to Coach Butters if you cannot make it Monday.  If you are not there or you don't talk to Coach Butters you will not be on the team.
Musical Theatre Students: Check out the "spirit week" info in google classroom or facebook group.  In preparation for the May 15th Showcase Event, the Center Stage program is hosting a week of fun activities and prizes.  The promo and slideshow had all the details!

Most patients don’t have a fully matched donor in their family — and that’s when they turn to Be The Match®. By joining the Be The Match Registry®, your tissue type will be included in the database.  If you match a patient in need, there are two ways to donate. The patient’s doctor chooses the donation method that is best for the patient. 80% of donations are PBSC (peripheral blood stem cell) donations. It is a non-surgical, outpatient procedure. The donor receives a medication prior to donation that increases the number of cells in the bloodstream. The cells are then collected during donation.  20% of donations are Marrow donations.  It is a surgical, outpatient procedure that takes place in a hospital operating room. While the donor is under anesthesia, doctors collect marrow from the back of their pelvic bone. 14,000 patients per year whose only hope for a cure is a transplant from someone outside their family. Attention all students, on Monday, May 10th, we will begin issuing late/tardy passes to students. Monitors will be stationed around the building for the first ten minutes of each class. If you are tardy for first hour you will get a pass from the security desk area.

Boy’s Golf:  BOYS GOLF!?!  Yes, we have a boy’s golf team and we are up and running.  Your happy hackers ventured out Tuesday afternoon in their supersized yellow van, riding off to an emerald green, although soggy, Mid Vallee Golf Course to compete in some Bay Conference love on the links.  Scorers for East included our one seasoned veteran, junior Nate “the mechanic” Stamper and one of our newcomers, sophomore Isaac “the thespian”  Bowman. Although no birdies were carded, there were some bogeys, some doubles and some triples too!  Your dedicated dapper duffers travel to Seymour today for some more conference action.  Stay tuned!

Do you want to be part of the student led decision making process at Green Bay East? Do you want to help with all items related to school spirit and school culture? If you answered yes to either of these then you want to join the student council. Please look in your email for an application or ask your Homebase teacher.

Congratulations to Boys soccer for their 3-0 win vs Southwest on Tuesday. They have now advanced to play at Bay Port Thursday at 7:00pm tickets must be purchased from the main office by 3:15. Tickets are $6.00 each.
