The 28th annual East High Fishing tournament will be held June 5th from 7:30 - 9:30 am in the East River. This tournament is open to all East students and faculty. This is a WI Free Fishing weekend so you won't need a license and we will have equipment available if you have never gone fishing before. Prizes awarded for largest, smallest, and most fish. Be the Match: Every three minutes someone in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. For 70% of those patients, the only hope for a cure is a bone marrow transplant from someone outside of their family. Rebecca Proctor had joined the National Marrow Donor Program registry when she was just a college student in 2014. Five years later in 2019 was when she had received the call informing her that she was a match for a patient in need of a bone marrow transplant! As Rebecca said, “ I was definitely a little nervous when I first got the call. After agreeing to a marrow donation, I would have days here and there where I would panic. But I knew if this was going to save someone’s life then I could do it.” You could help save a life just like Rebecca did.
